Blippi’s Curiosity Club actually makes learning feel like a game

If your kid is obsessed with Blippi—the high-energy guy in the orange suspenders who explains how garbage trucks work—you already know the struggle. They want more Blippi, but you don’t want them glued to YouTube for another hour. That’s where this app steps in. It’s a collection of mini-games built around Blippi’s whole “let’s figure stuff out” vibe, and for the most part, it delivers.

The games are simple. You sort shapes, match colors, count objects, or help Blippi clean up a messy room. Nothing groundbreaking, but that’s the point. For a four-year-old, tapping the right animal on screen feels like a big win. The app keeps things short—each activity lasts maybe two or three minutes—which is smart. Kids with short attention spans can bounce between games without getting frustrated. And Blippi’s voice is in there, narrating everything in that over-caffeinated, friendly tone. My nephew loves it. I can only take so much, but hey, it’s not for me.

There are a couple of rough edges. The app has ads, which is annoying for a paid download. They’re not constant, but they pop up between games, and a kid can accidentally tap one. Also, some of the puzzles feel too easy for the upper age range. If your child is six or seven, they might breeze through the color-matching stuff in ten minutes and get bored. The “Curiosity Club” part—where kids earn stickers and collect rewards—helps a little, but it’s not deep. Think sticker book, not RPG progression.

Still, for what it is, it works. The design is bright without being garish. The sound effects are the usual cartoon boings and dings. And the educational content is legit: shapes, numbers, letters, sorting, problem-solving. It’s not going to teach your kid calculus, but it’ll reinforce what they’re learning in preschool.

Best for: toddlers and preschoolers who already love Blippi. If your kid isn’t into him yet, this probably won’t convert them. But if they are, it’s a solid, screen-time trade that feels more like play than a lesson. Just keep an eye on those ads.
